So we had a great miracle this week, and a baptism, which always makes things good. We also had interviews. But before I start, I also found out our new mission presidents name. J. Patrick Anderson. I think that's how it's spelt. So that was pretty cool. I also found out some appalling and dreadful news. Apparently, Michael Scott is leaving the office and not only is it still going to keep airing, but Will Ferrell is going to take his place? Hmm...well i guess it's good I found that out because now I don't even miss the show. I'm really not looking forward to it when I go home anymore. I think I'll watch up to the last Steve Carell episode, but that's it. Unless by some stroke of a miracle Will Ferrell actually manages to be funny and somewhat clean. But I doubt it.
That's enough great and spacious television show for this email.
So Sherri and Riley got baptized on Saturday! It was great and really spiritual, and has been the fulfillment of her lifelong dream. She has been trying to get baptized for so long, but so many things have gotten in the way, so it was really cool. Me and Elder Summers were the witnesses, and it was interesting, when Riley was baptized, his knee popped up the first time, and then the second time I was watching his legs but his hair was pretty close to call...So Elder Summers gave me a tentative thumbs up, but I was truly not sure. But everyone else seemed to be fine with it so I went with it. I was about 90% sure he was all the way under. I also had a kid kneeling right in front of where I was standing blocking my way. But Elder Summers was sure, so we went with it. I suppose if we were wrong, then we'll wait till the millenium to sort it all out. But I was freaking out about it all day.
We also had a cool miracle, theres a 16 year old girl we've been teaching for the past 6 months. Her mom told her she would have to wait a year to get baptized, but Bishop promised her that if she kept going to church and reading the Book of Mormon, that time would go down. Well, she's been doing those things, and we met with her this week intending to talk about the Book of Mormon and other things, and then next thing we know, she's committed to talk to her parents again. So we had a fast on wednesday that everything would go well, and at mutual, we find out that she GOT PERMISSION! So we quickly called her and set a date for the 23rd @ 10:00. And now we're just taking care of the logistics, but it was really cool! So now we will be having a baptism 2 weeks in a row. And hopefully this next week we'll be able to get another one with a date for the 30th. It's definetely possible and we are going to do it. But it was really awesome how it all turned out! Just a random amazing miracle in the middle of the week that we didn't really expect to be completely honest. Not that we didn't think it was possible, but we didn't think about it. So Elder Summers is going to be baptizing and I'm going to be confirming. Which is freaking me out, because I usually get pretty nervous before priesthood blessings, and now i'm basically doing a priesthood blessing in front of a whole ward. But it's also going to be exciting, and I'm looking forward to it. I'll send some pictures.
We got a temple square referral, and that was kind of funny. We went by the guys house a couple of times, and he wasn't home so we called him up. He sounded kind of confused about everything, and when we told him we were missionaries, he was like, "oh, we'll i'm only going to be here for another week". Well he was still in Utah, but we figured everything out, and he didn't sound too interested, so we asked him if it was something he requested. Well apparently he got to the end of the temple square tour, and then a sister missionary told him to fill out a card, and he politely declined, and then she told him to fill it out because it would only take a second, and kept pushing until finally he filled out his name and then gave it to her and she checked off that he requested missionaries. So ya. Temple Square sisters are pretty bold I guess.
We also had interviews, and that is always a good time for improvement and chastisement. One thing we talked about a lot was improving our door approaches and asking inspired questions at doors. It's true, my door approaches have been slipping lately. Apparently, theres going to be new training in August, that will make it so a missionary will be able to train in 2 transfers. So after 2 transfers in the mission, every missionary will have the ability to train. Which is pretty crazy but we're going to be looking forward to that. But we were able to have a lot more fun tracting afterwards because we just had fun with people, and didn't really talk to much about the gospel until later in the conversation. It made tracting more fun and rewarding because we managed to give out a Book of Mormon.
And we got a new ward mission leader in Stonegate. He's is fired up and gave a talk on Sunday, and it was pretty funny, he dropped a line about "make sure to introduce your friends to the missionaries to show them that they're regular guys! Well except Elder Gibb because he's from Canada" So that was pretty funny.
That's all for now. Have fun voting without me.

that's too bad that the sister missionary was so pushy! I mean, when I was serving there, of course we wanted to have referral cards filled out, but there's no point if they won't be interested once you guys get to see them. Oh well! I'm glad you're seeing success! Keep up the good work!
