Sooo yesterday I hit my 19 month mark. Which means I can count the number of months I have left on one hand. It was kind of weird and then to cap it off I had a dream last night where I found out I had to go home and It was really disappointing and I felt like I still had things to accomplish. Which is good, this week has been one of the best of my mission just in terms of finding potentials and working and being obedient and things are really just going well and everyone in the zone is on the same page and we can all feel it. One heart and One mind. It's a pretty good feeling.
This week we had the baptism of Laura and Mac and it really was an awesome thing. A great experience, great spirit and all in attendance were blessed. We are really looking forward to the good things down the road and everything that will happen, a lot of obstacles were removed miraculously from the baptism to make it a much greater experience, and Mac has the Aaronic Priesthood now.
We also went on Exchanges with Elder Florence, he came out with me and Elder Frazier the day of the interview and we worked in Black Forest all day. It was a good day. Passed out 4 copies of the Book of Mormon and found 5 potentials. One was pretty cool, she came out and was like, "ok, I have a question for you. Do you believe that you are on the same plane as God?" and we explained the doctrine of theosis/human deification/"becoming gods" to her and she was like "oh. ok ya. That makes sense." and it was pretty cool to teach and testify to her and we should be going back this week to continue teaching her. She wanted a week to read the Book of Mormon.
We also have this family who are potential investigators right now. Each time we go by we meet a different member of the family and they all want us to come back they are just really busy right now. Again, this week sometime we should be going by and see what's up.
Sorry this email is kind of short. The only funny story I can share, is at District Meeting Lunch, everyone was pulling out their licenses to show everyone what they looked like before the mission. So I reached into my wallet to grab mine, and to my dismay realized it wasn't there. I guess I've been driving for the past few weeks without it and I have no idea where it is. Soooo....I probably wont drive for the rest of my mission unless I can find it. Too bad. I like the truck.
And we saw Llama's out in Black Forest! Real Llama's!
Love,
Elder Gibb
